Welcome to the Perfect Oracle of Mademoiselle Lenormand, a very special free card reading on FrenchCartomancy.com. As far as we know, once again, this is the first time that this reading is available on the Internet in the English language. We learned the method used in this reading in a very old cartomancy book, which was describing card readings using a divinatory board. These are not used anymore, but they were very popular and common in the 19th-century France.
Thus, this reading is using a 36-card deck and a 36-square board, each card being placed on a square. Each square is associated with a keyword, which offers a specific context, and each card has its own meaning. Both are then combined to obtain predictions and advices.
The deck used is comprised of 36 cards, but it is not the Petit Lenormand deck, since it did not exist at the time. Instead, they used a 32-card deck with the 2s. In other words, it is like taking a 52-card deck and removing 3s, 4s, 5s and 6s. This may seem odd, because the Petit Lenormand is basically the 32-card deck with the 6s, but psychics and card readers of the time, including Mademoiselle Lenormand, did use that deck with the 2s for certain types of reading.
In this reading, all the cards are shuffled and cut, and then drawn one at the time to be placed on the squares of the divinatory board.
